Smart PLL Frequency Synthesizer w/ Amplifier & Linear Attenuator | 45 MHz - 22.6 GHz | 8 GHz P/N -108 dBc/Hz@10kHz | SSG4522ATLX

$2,950.00

The SSG4522ATLX boasts dual RF channel outputs, an amplified main output, and a configurable linear attenuator in a compact, all-metal package. Covering 45 MHz to 22.6 GHz with 0.1 Hz frequency resolution, this Smart PLL Frequency Synthesizer provides a flexible signal source for bench testing, field use, and system development.

What's new compared with the SSG4522ALX? The SSG4522ATLX adds an on-board configurable linear attenuator with a 0 to 31.875 dB attenuation range in 0.125 dB steps, expanding on the 3 to 24 dB range of the SSG4522ALX. The updated datasheet specifies typical phase noise of -108 dBc/Hz at 8 GHz with a 10 kHz offset, compared with -105 dBc/Hz in the SSG4522ALX listing. The on-board attenuator introduces an average 2 dB insertion loss relative to the base SSG4522ALX; output power remains frequency dependent.

The unit comes complete with a 100 MHz internal reference for immediate use out of the box, or the user may utilize the external input for their preferred 100 MHz reference. SMA connections provide access to Lock Detect, Mute, and PSYNC functions.

The SSG4522ATLX operates from a single 5 V supply. Control is available through the Smart PLL iOS app and serial UART interface, with Windows Smart PLL software available below. For advanced users planning to use the Smart Synthesizer in automated test setups, the UART interface supports integration with external control programs.

Applications include reference clocks, local oscillators, radar, SATCOM, test and measurement, and portable field signal generation. Refer to the datasheet for frequency-dependent output curves, attenuation characteristics, measurement conditions, and mechanical dimensions.
